Hall ventilation
VENTILATION SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRY
Using a holistic hall ventilation system is unavoidable in many applications in order to protect the legal provisions and to protect employees. At the same time, we optimise the climatic conditions in your production facility by automatically controlling the supply of fresh air, including cooling and heating. Depending on the application, the hall ventilation can be installed in addition to existing extraction systems or as a central extraction unit.
ESTA has developed two different processes for hall air extraction- Push Pull mixed ventilation and Upstream layered ventilation. In both cases, a central extraction unit is used, e.g. the ESTA DUSTMAC installation. It is installed in the interior of the hall or outdoors and is connected with an extraction and feed air pipeline.

The working principle of hall ventilation
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
As a specialist in the field of occupational safety, ESTA offers you many extraction systems for the ventilation of halls. In this way, we ensure that your requirements for suitable ventilation are met.
Filtower
Plug & Play filter towers for the capture and filtration of dust, fumes and oil mist for clean air in the machine hall.
ProductdetailsWELDEX FE
Modular welding fume filter system for large volumes of air up to 120,000 m³ / h.
ProductdetailsWith the extraction systems of the DUSTMAC series, individual system concepts can be realised according to your requirements for central multi-point extraction.
The WELDEX FE filter module is ideal for extracting large volumes of air from 20,000 to 120,000 m³/h. This ventilation system can be used both for direct extraction and as a hall ventilation system specifically for welding fumes.
The free-standing FILTOWER plug & play hall ventilation system is suitable as an alternative or supplement to direct extraction. This efficient hall extraction system captures dust, smoke and other emissions in halls.
ENERGY-EFFICIENT HALL VENTILATION THROUGH HEAT RECOVERY
ESTA extraction technology for hall ventilation combines the pleasant with the useful. Thanks to the use of high-quality filter media, the clean, filtered extracted air can be returned to the industrial hall. A heat exchanger integrated into the ventilation system heats the cleaned air. In this way, our ventilation system for industry produces a comfortable warmth in the workplace during the cold season. Cool instead of warm supply air flows throughout the production hall thanks to the addition of a cooling unit to the ventilation technology.
VENTILATION SYSTEMS FOR INDUSTRY: PROCESSES FOR HALL VENTILATION
Push Pull mixing ventilation
Push Pull mixed ventilation is an optimal solution for hall ventilation. With mixed flow ventilation, the clean air is fed into the industrial ventilation system high up in the hall area via jet nozzles. This causes the hall air to be mixed.
- Hall height < 7.5 m
- Low thermal loads < 10 tons / year welding wire consumption
- Feed nozzles with high jet range
- Two pipeline rods opposite each other
- Suitable for cooling and heating
- Also designed for dust and odours
Upstream layered ventilation
The ventilation systems for industry from ESTA also enable upstream shift ventilation. With this solution for hall ventilation, fresh air is supplied to the ventilation system in the area of the welding workstations through displacement outlets close to the floor. This supports the thermally induced buoyancy of the welding fumes.
- Hall height ≥ 7.5 m
- High thermal loads > 10 tons / year welding wire consumption
- Displacement outlets close to the floor for generating a layer of cold air
- Sensors for continuous temperature measurement and fully-automated control of the proportion of fresh air
- Low air volume flows are sufficient
- Suitable for cooling and heating
- Given appropriate thermal loss and suitable for dust and odour
CENTRAL VS. DECENTRALISED HALL VENTILATION
Centralised extraction systems for hall ventilation can be more efficient and economical than extraction systems for point extraction, particularly in a large production hall. In contrast to decentralised hall ventilation, central extraction systems have a fixed, non-changing installation location where the filter unit is installed. This is located either inside or outside the industrial hall. By connecting the extraction system to a pipework system high up on the hall wall, the polluted air can be extracted from several workstations simultaneously via several nozzles.
We adapt the design of the hall ventilation system to your individual requirements.

HALL VENTILATION WITH RADIAL FANS
A key component of the hall ventilation system is the pipework system. The polluted air is fed to the extraction unit via this system. This requires a fan as a vacuum generator in the extraction system. The noise-insulated medium-pressure fans integrated into the hall ventilation system ensure effective extraction performance and quiet operation of the system. Depending on the application concept, fans can be added to the hall ventilation system.
An ESTA fan is characterised by its high efficiency. This is achieved by a design that meets the latest aerodynamic standards. An ESTA fan is therefore the ideal component for centralised extraction systems.
